• Located at Kunming Lake near western end of Long Corridor
• Built in 1755 during Qing Dynasty Emperor QianLong

• 1860 destroyed during Second Opium War by Anglo-French forces
• 1893 rebuilt on order of Empress Dowager Cixi
• 36 metres long, of marble and of wood painted to imitate marble
• Rain water flows through hollow pillars, out from four dragonheads
• Saying: The waters that float the boat can also swallow it

• Built in 1750 during Qing Dynasty Emperor QianLong
• 150 metres long, eight metres wide, stone lion decorations
• 17 arches of different sizes
• Emperor's colour is yellow and Emperor's number is 9

-- 8 arches of fortune + 9th Emperor Arch + 8 arches of fortune
• Bridge leads to Nanhu Island to Dragon King Temple

Peking Roast Duck was developed during Yuan Dynasty 1271-1368. Further developed during Ming Dynasty 1368–1644. Crispy skin and little meat. Roast Duck raised among the main dishes on imperial court menu.
• Ducks are raised in free environment for 45 days
• Ducks are force-fed four times a day for 15 to 20 days
• Ducks are ready at 5–7 kg after 65 days
• Cleaning, rinsing, then air pumped under the skin
• Soaked into boiling water before hunging up to dry
• Sugar syrup outside, inside rinsed once more
• Roasted in hung oven developed by Qing Dynasty kitchen
• Hung owen uses fruit tree wood, ducks hung in hooks, 40mins
• Chef to slice the roasted duck into 100 slices
• Duck slices on crepes with spring onions, cucumber, bean sauce
• Over 70.000 ducks roasted in Beijing every day
